LA Partnership
As part of Supreme Education's role in acting as a Managed Service Provider (MSP), we work in partnership with our clients with a LA branded school staffing service, from the online booking system and website to paperwork such as reference request forms and email footers. This strategy makes it absolutely clear that we are working in partnership with the LA to deliver the service.
Mirroring Current LA School HR Procedures and Policies
As a result of the partnership, we try to ensure our policies and procedures mirror those or at least follow those of the LA. One good example is pre-employment checks, where all the same checks have to be in place for our permanent workers. This ensures things such as child protection and safeguarding requirements are fully met, as the policies can vary from LA to LA. The benefit of this procedure is that the head teacher and governing bodies can have absolute confidence that the LAs polices and agendas are being supported by Supreme Education and the temporary workers in their schools such as, "every child matters agenda".
Specific LA Policies
Supreme Education ensures that our Diversity and Equal Opportunities policies mirror that of the LA we work with in order to meet their diversity targets within our temporary workers pool.
Internal Redeployment Strategy
In terms of internal redeployment we are currently working with LAs to ensure any education staff made redundant are advised of the 'temporary workers in education' MSP service and made aware of the opportunities in schools as part of their redeployment and outplacement scheme.
Again leavers within schools in our partner LAs are informed of the temporary worker service as part of the exit interview process and given an opportunity to register and find work. Moreover, due to the fact Supreme Education do not charge LA and schools temp to perm fees, many of these temporary workers end up back in permanent employment within the LA after one or two terms as a temporary worker. This gives the LAs additional cost savings, not only in permanent recruitment and advertising, but also value added savings in reducing vacancy rates and staff turnover within the LA.
A very successful partnership has been developed with Blackpool Council to provide a cost effective high quality supply teacher service to Blackpool schools.

Southwark Childrens Services has collaborated with Supreme Education to provide temporary cover staff for the boroughs schools since 2006. Throughout that period we have been very pleased indeed with the service provided by Supreme Education.
