The MSTAR framework was commissioned by the Local Government Professional Services Group (LGPSG) with support from the Efficiency Reform Group (ERG) and Department for Education (DfE).
The agreement, available to all local government and other wider public sector bodies across the UK, eliminates the need to conduct expensive individual OJEU procurement exercises and provides organisations with the opportunity to reduce overall LA supply teacher and associated staff expenditure, whilst improving the quality and safeguarding of supply staff within schools.
Over 50 authorities have been engaged in shaping and developing the service specification, framework, structure and scope encompassing the following areas.
