System Training At Your Local Authority

SAS's on-site training provides personal attention at your facility so that all your employees are equipped to use SAS and its functionality to the utmost. A highly qualified SAS consultant will train your LA administrators, cover managers, and supply staff in separate sessions. Since you'll have the undivided attention of our training consultant, on-site training ensures that you feel comfortable handling the system on your own before we leave - and customer support is always available if you need more help later!

System Training at our Head Office

You can escape the distractions back at the office by attending SAS training at our state-of-the-art facility just outside of Luton, Bedfordshire. For a day and a half, your LA-level personnel who will be handling the SAS system can interactively learn. A SAS Implementation Trainer will "train-the-trainer," sending your SAS Administrator back as an expert with all the necessary tools and knowledge to train the rest of your personnel.

SAS System Training

Supreme Education has experience in providing SAS training to over 2,000 school administrators. Feedback is obtained from delegates in terms of the learning experience. Each school administrator have their own individual secure login portal, bespoke to them and has been pre-loaded with all the school position profiles, start and end times and their database has been pre-populated with the existing local authority education supply pool.

SAS Training Objectives

Prior to the system training we send out the aims and objectives of the training session. After the session we provide access to a demo site for the school administrators to familiarise themselves with the online booking system prior to going live.

SAS School Training Delivery

SAS school training takes approximately 2hrs. Depending on the size of the contract we can train up to a maximum of 20 school administrators simultaneously in the following areas:

  1. How to add a new vacancy requirement to the system via the internet and via the phone
  2. How they can modify, delete, attach documents to a vacancy
  3. Live Demonstration of how the SAS interacts with supply candidates and how school administrators are notified when the vacancy requirement has been filled
  4. Train the SHM how they can view all safeguarding information and CV's
  5. Take the SHM through how they can access pre-loaded reports on all aspects of the service

Training Materials

Within SAS there is an up to date copy of a user guide which demonstrates step by step instructions on all aspects of the SAS training.

Training Evaluation

At the end of each training session each delegate is required to fill in a training evaluation form which is used to monitor how effective the training has been in meeting the course objectives. Copies of all training evaluations are available for the LA.

On-going Training Support

Schools based training: It is inevitable that some school administrators will not be able to make the centrally scheduled training and so our team can do 1-2-1 training visits directly to the schools.

Phone based training / support: The LA dedicated team that Supreme Education provides to manage each LA supply service can also give phone support and training to school administrators who are unsure of how to use the system after the initial training or as an interim measure where they have not yet been able to attend training.

Training Assessment

Supreme Education are also aware that there will be school administrators in education establishments that are not as IT literate as others, in these cases we do provide additional options such as phoning in and faxing supply requirements for their school and training can be tailored to these schools to gradually enable them to gain confidence in using SAS.
