The aim is simple: the equal treatment of temporary workers in the workplace.
Businesses and candidates need to understand the implications of both day one rights and the 12 week qualifying period, certain day one rights apply NOW. On completion of the 12 week qualifying period with a single hirer, temporary workers may be entitled to the same basic working and employment conditions as a permanent employee.
