A new focus on Early Years!
Supreme Education has always recruited Early Years staff for
supply to both independent nurseries and those within schools
but, until recently we have been best known for our teacher
recruitment business.
Throughout 2003 it became apparent that a new focus was
needed in the recruitment of Early Years workers in order to
meet the growing demands from both schools and independent
nurseries.
The government's introduction of SureStart in 1998 resulted
in a significant rise in the profile of early education and
childcare as a career and increasing opportunities within
training and career development have attracted more and more
people into the sector, from school leavers to mature students
and parents returning to work. This is very encouraging for us
as an agency as it means we are seeing more candidates coming
through our doors and therefore enabling us to service our
clients more effectively and efficiently.

Recruiting Unqualified Staff
With the government's recent drive to bring more people into
the sector, Supreme Education is uniquely placed to evaluate
and place appropriate staff into nurseries and early years'
roles.
When interviewing and before placing unqualified staff we
evaluate their experience, skills, referees, training,
specialisms (e.g. SEN) and where required will work with you to
identify and help deliver individuals' training and development
needs. This means we can recommend suitably experienced
unqualified staff, to work at the right level, within the
requirements of the National Day-care Standards. All this
information is recorded on the system to ensure we match the
right teacher to the right vacancy.
Remember, we work closely to meet your needs for qualified
staff for all roles from nursery assistant through supervisors,
play work leaders, nursery nurses up to management level.
Advice and tips for successful placement
In order for Supreme Education to provide you with the
service you expect and deserve as well as the staff
automatically matching your needs, it is important that they
are aware of your expectations. You have the facility to store
as much information about your school as possible. We can
supply you with a map and directions and contact details.
Additionally, you can simply attach other important school
information such as; lesson plans, code of conduct,
disciplinary procedures for pupils, SEN requirements and any
extra curricular activities or expected duties whilst on
assignment. Remember our teachers are paid to scale, in return
we expect a professionals days work. When they arrive at the
school you are able to identify positively any Supreme teacher.
Make arrangements to meet and spend some time with your
assigned expert, giving them information and showing them
around your school. Letting us know online your work ethos,
dress code and specific skills (i.e. SEN/first aid/EAL etc)
will help us to match the right candidate to your vacancies
first time, avoiding misunderstanding and saving time in
getting staff.
