Teaching opportunities
Welcome to the many opportunities offered by Supreme Education for teachers, teaching assistants, support staff, graduates and other educational professionals.
Graduates: want to get into teaching?
If you're a graduate considering teaching as a career, we can help you in many different ways.
We will be delighted to talk through your options and point you in the right direction for more information or to take the next steps.
There are now many alternatives to the traditional PGCE route into a teaching career, including the government's successful Graduate and Registered Teacher Programme(GRTP) initiative, and paid and flexible PGCEs.
The GRTP is designed as an 'on the job' training programme. You will be paid to teach in a specific school and will benefit from training in and outside the school, based on a development programme tailored to your exact needs. There is competition for places on the scheme - with graduates in shortage subjects such as Maths, English and Science, being most sought after. More information is contained on the Teacher Training Agency's website and Supreme Education can give you practically help to find a placement or to gain relevant experience.
If you have never experienced life in the classroom, then you could consider working as a Teaching Assistant. As well as giving you an insight into the job, you will enjoy the benefits of weekly pay, and flexibility to work when and where you want. Growing numbers of graduates are finding this to be an excellent route into the GRTP scheme as they and the school find their a perfect match.
If you take the PGCE route into teaching, then Supreme Education can offer you paid work in schools (as a Teaching Assistant or potentially as an Unqualified Teacher) at times and locations to suit you throughout the year.
Retired Teachers
If you're looking to return to the classroom then supply teaching with Supreme Education allows you to work when and where you want - without losing any of your pension entitlement.
What's more, you will enjoy attractive pay rates and you will be paid on a weekly basis. If you want to teach in a flexible way, we have opportunities ranging from occasional days to long-term contracts.
Retired teachers do NOT lose any of their pension entitlement because they are paid directly by the LA.
That's why many retired teachers (excluding those who have taken retirement on grounds of ill health) enjoy teaching as much as they want via Supreme Education - and still retain their full pension.
If you're concerned about remaining up-to-date with current practice and knowledge, then you can benefit from our extensive free-of-charge training programme, which includes courses on new initiatives like Numeracy Hour and Literacy Hour. Supreme Education also provides National Curriculum and Key Stage teaching resources.
With a truly personal, professional service, you can be sure we will help make your return to the classroom an enjoyable experience. You can be sure that schools will greatly appreciate your presence!
